Simi currently serves as Chief of Staff to Indra Nooyi, Former Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo. Previously, she served as Head of Business Development at Paperwork Studios, a media startup backed by the NYC-based venture studio, Create. While there, she ideated and gave form to two publications: Fundwise and Bankbook, as well as others in the pipeline. She also managed operations around publication launch, built early financial models, and engaged in other big-picture strategic endeavors.
Beyond the workplace, Simi serves as Founder and Host of Trailblazers, a podcast and content platform that dives deep into the journeys of trailblazing South Asians. She also founded Shop South Asian, a community and resource network for South Asian founders.
In addition, Simi continues to serve as one of eight elected Class Marshals for the Harvard Class of 2019. Her passion for empowering women in finance has also inspired her to take on leadership as a Founding Board Member of the Boston Synergist chapter and as an active Girls Who Invest alumna. In her spare time, you can find her writing, podcasting, and traveling.
Prior to Paperwork, Simi spent time in private equity as an Investment Analyst with the Audax Group. While there, she covered portfolio companies across tech and consumer and helped the firm's investors diligence M&A targets across industries. Simi holds a BA in economics and government from Harvard. She hails from Atlanta, Georgia, and is the daughter of two entrepreneurial Indian immigrants.
